Platinum Pet Food
Platinum is our staple diet for all our dogs and we raise all our puppies on it too. We are proud members of the Platinum Breeders Club and all our puppies come with platinum Puppy Packs. We recommend Platinum for all dogs of all shapes and sizes, but here is why we use it for our dogs.
Why Platinum?
Quality not Quantity
Salukis' burn an IMMENSE amount of energy, whist salukis' are more than happy to sleep most of the day, when they go out for a run they can reach speeds of 40mph and maintain these high speeds for long periods of time. This amazing ability has been bred into the saluki for thousands of years and makes them incredibly well adapted to this lifestyle. Salukis have a very high proportion of fast twitch mucsel fibers, (the muscels used for quick acceleration and speed) wich require a lot of calories to maintain and build properly.
PLATINUM use a minimum of 70 % fresh meat for the preparation of their food. In addition they add other highly digestible ingredients such as rice, potatoes and premium-quality cold-pressed oils, herbs, vitamins and minerals.
Furthermore: they are the only manufacturer to cook these ingredients in their own juices, without any water added, to preserve their nutritional value.
PLATINUM'S use of fresh meat rather than meat meal in their recipe and unique cooking technique provide a number of benefits.
- First PLATINUM dry kibble contains far more High Quality Proteins due to the use of fresh meat in its recipe, these are perfect for building and maintaining muscle mass.
- Second Platinum has more nutrition per bite than traditional foods, the pieces of food are soft and compact and have a high nutritional value meaning that your dog needs to eat significantly less than he would need with conventional dry dog food. This means that their stomachs are put under less strain and empty themselves quicker, meaning your Saluki does not have to eat vast quantities of food in order to get the calories they need.
- Lastly the PLATINUM cooking process means that nutrients in their food are more readily digestible and so the food spends on average far less time in the intestines and your saluki can quickly regain their lost calories.
Palatablility
Salukis are of course Princes and Princesses and they love the finer things in life, this means they can be notoriously fussy.
With PLATINUM we dont get any of these problems, we even use our kibbles as treats when playing confidence games and puzzles at home because our dogs find it so delicious and rewarding.
The strong keep-fresh pouch ensures that the aroma is always preserved so that your dog enjoys our food from the first to the last bite. The pouches are available in 1.5 kg and 5 kg sizes and orders for larger amounts consist of multiple 5 kg pouches ensuring even when you get to the bottom of the bag, the food is still as fresh as the first meal !
Reduced Risks
Salukis do sometimes have sensitive stomachs and not only run fast but also jump and corner with extreme dexterity, this can increase the risk of issues such as stomach torsion if they are allowed out to run directly after eating large meals.
PLATINUM dry dog food is not only wheat and gluten-free and contains only human grade high-quality ingredients but In addition, is free from attractants, flavouring agents, food colouring and flavour enhancers. Perfect for sensitive tummies.
Conventional dry dog food is usually predominantly made from plant-based raw materials and a small proportion of meat meal, not fresh meat. The residual moisture level at 8 % is significantly lower than it is in PLATINUM.
Since PLATINUM is cooked in its own meat juices and is dried at room temperature, it has a considerably higher moisture content than traditional dry dog foods. With 18 % residual moisture, consisting purely of meat juices.
Due to its lower moisture content, conventional dry food swells up in the dogs stomach as it absorbs a lot of fluid, PLATINUM dry food does not do this, meaning that the risks of stomach torsion after eating are significantly reduced and the essential rest periods after meals can also be significantly reduced.

We feed Platinum dry food as our daily staple diet for all our dogs.
Naturally healthy PLATINUM dry dog food is wheat and gluten-free and contains only high-quality human grade ingredients. In addition, it is free from attractants, flavouring agents, food colouring and flavour enhancers.
Above all, Platinum dry dog food is made with minimum 70 % fresh meat and without added water. Instead, the ingedients are gently cooked in their own juices. Platinum is suitable for dogs of all breeds and ages.
Wet Food
We use PLATINUM wet food for training as a high value reward, using the PLATINUM coach tubes we reward our dogs with healthy nutritious wet diet rather than treat pastes, this means we don't have to worry about limiting how much we reward our dogs when training.
PLATINUM MENU, which is available in seven delicious varieties and is the first wet dog food made with at least 83 % fresh meat / fish, which is gently cooked in its own juices without adding any water.
