About Kaizu
Awards
Kaizu is our resident Sire. Kai is the 3rd British Saluki Trick Dog Champion to our 2 other saluki's Mara and Dahari, he is the 6th Saluki in the world to attain the title and one of only 2 Salukis in the world to qualify for the Trick Dog Register of Merit, the other being Mara. He has acheived awards in several different diciplines and sports having completed his fundamentals, Pre and Foundation agility with KB Agility, passed his Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Foundation and Bronze awards and his Hoopers Online Foundation & Bronze Awards. Kai also loves Canicross, which he began this season, he works both alone and in a tandem team with his love Masai Mara. He has completed several 5km runs and is working up to 10km in partnership with Mara. Kaizu has only ever attended one conformation show in which he placed 3rd in the AV Sighthound class.
Kaizu now concentrates most of his time and training on his Rally Obedience which he really enjoys. He competed in his first competition in June and looks forward to many more outings in the sport.
Pedigree
Kai is a fully KC Registered Red and White Particolour Saluki, with a 5 generation Pedigree from the UKKC. Kaizu has 7 Champion and 3 Show Certificate of Merit dogs in his Pedigree. These include 4 UK Champions and 3 SA Champions.
Character
Kaizu is a strong, loyal and protective companion who loves his owner above anything. He is a sweet natured dog that loves attention and fuss and is advancing well in all his training disciplines, were he shows lots of flare and intelligence. Above all he enjoys anything that involves being the focus of his humans attention and is never far from her side.
